The California Institute of Food and Agricultural Research (CIFAR) is a program within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at University of California, Davis. CIFAR facilitates interactions between industry, government, faculty, post-graduate researchers and students.

CIFAR accomplishes this by participating in the identification of problems facing industry and initiating projects to actively seek solutions to these problems using university expertise.
